Американската академија за телевизиски уметности и науки синоќа ја одржа својата најпрестижна церемонија на доделување телевизиски награди.
Откако во јануари годинава се одржа 75. доделување на наградите Еми, кое беше одложено поради минатогодишниот штрајк на актерите, најголемите телевизиски ѕвезди се собраа во Лос Анџелес на 76. издание на Еми.
Најголем победник за оваа година е хумористичната драмска серија The Bear, а по неа следи историската серија Shōgun. Channel FX работеше и на двете серии.
Shōgun на синоќешното доделување освои четири награди Еми, во категориите Најдобра серија, Најдобар актер во главна улога, најдобра актерка во главна улога и најдобар режисер, додека минатата недела освои 14 Еми за креативни уметности.
Со вкупно 18 Еми награди, Shōgun го собори рекордот и влезе во историјата како серија што освоила најмногу Еми награди во една сезона. Дополнително, ова е првпат серија што не е на англиски јазик да ја добие наградата Еми за Извонредна драмска серија.
Од друга страна, The Bear годинава освои вкупно 11 Еми награди. Но, фановите изненадени кога наградата за најдобра хумористична серија отиде во рацете на Hacks на HBO, а не кај The Bear.
Baby Reindeer, виралната серија на Netflix, е прогласена за најдобра минисерија на годината, а синоќа освои вкупно три награди Еми. Креаторот на серијата Ричард Гад доби Еми за најдобар актер и најдобро сценарио, додека неговата колешка Џесика Ганинг доби Еми за најдобра актерка во споредна улога.
